Light Behind the Clouds

My current work-in-progress is Light Behind the Clouds: A Novel of the Germans Who Resisted Hitler. It’s historical fiction set in Nazi Germany, following four siblings who, each in their own way, become involved in the Resistance against Hitler. It’s a story of standing for truth, no matter the cost, being a voice for those who have none, and hoping in even the darkest of circumstances. Light Behind the Clouds weaves together fictional characters with real historical heroes, including Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Claus von Stauffenberg, and Fabian von Schlabrendorff.

If you can imagine a combination of the movies, Bonhoeffer: Pastor. Spy. Assassin., Valkyrie, Sophie Scholl: The Final Days, and Truth & Treason, plus add some fighting on the Eastern Front (including the battle of Stalingrad), then you have a pretty good idea of what Light Behind the Clouds will be like!
